In the mood

… and not knowing what to write about.

As much as I enjoy the convenience of iftar at home (easy access for solat especially), the invites for iftar at various venues is hard to resist, especially when it comes from family, and especially when you are given the menu a few days before, just to salivate.

Yesterday we were at Istana Budaya courtesy of Mr. Hubs uncle. Food was not bad, ambience was just nice, comfy musolla for prayers… just my appetite (which has not been too good lately) not cooperating too well. In a way, I feel blessed not having much appetite when I really need to lose weight, but it’s no fun when one is famished and yet the food don’t look so inviting anymore.

And tonight, we’re going to Bora Ombak – courtesy of my in-laws. I’ve gone through the menu, and am already salivating over the kerabu selection. Yumms! Let’s just hope my appetite would do me justice this time.

There’s another invite this weekend too, actually, and at the mo, I am already silently wishing for a quiet iftar at home the whole of next week.

Yes, by now you should start to notice how I prefer to stay home – ramadhan or not. 😉

setakat ni, belum pecah rekod lagi makan luar… Malas la nak keluar angkut budak2. Nak kasi tinggal kat rumah kesian pula. Same reason la jugak. Bila dah kenyang, masuk bilik, chillax….

Same here.. the timing just doesn’t suit my kids bed time. Besides, malas to get involved with so much crowd and berebut for food! Anyway, we missed you the other day. Hope to catch up with you some time during raya!

I think I hv to eat out as I am running out of ideas to cook! makan maggi ok tak? 😛

I do like having iftar at the nearby surau where they provide meal after maghrib prayers, enough for everyone. I only did it once this year but that time, it was a small crowd. Maybe I should go this weekend, kalau dah takde idea nak masak apa. 😉
