Mask vs Purdah

August 25, 2009 at 8:54 am 10 comments

A lot of people are walking around wearing a mask now, to reduce the risk of H1N1. Irregardless of some beliefs that it doesn’t help much, I still think it doesn’t hurt to just practice the preventive measures. Besides, we have nothing to lose right?

Since last week, I have been having this thought. Rather than wearing those non-fashionable masks, it’d be great to wear the purdah like the Arabs. It’s mysterious, chic, and easier to wear. Best of all, it’s reusable. Good for the environment, you know! 😉

purdah

With heavy eye make-up and the right arm candy, I’m starting to feel mysterious just thinking about it. 😛

The right time and situation to start *ehem* covering up a little more, don’t you think? (eventhough it’s obviously for all the wrong reasons too, shame on me)

But hey, will let you know if I really made the switch. I wonder what would Mr. Hubs think…

I just bought one abaya from Munawwarah. Wearing purdah instead of mask. What a perfect match to go with my abaya.
    Bersediakah aku …!!!
    Insyaallah..
