Back!

No, not home, unfortunately. We were discharged for only about 24 hours before I had to rush the boy back to hospital because of diarrhea and complaining of tummy ache.

I wouldn’t want to risk dehydration because he wouldn’t take much of the rehydration salt.

So here we are – Room P6, DSH.

Hope Imtiyaz is better now? Imran’s been sick for 2 weeks, but thankfully is getting better now. He had hand foot & mouth first and then had secondary infection of diarhea and tummy ache – sounds very similar to Imtiyaz. So kesian kan to see them miserable and Imran hasn’t been eating properly at all he’s lost quite a bit of weight!

Oh well, really hope Imtiyaz is on the road to recovery. It is indeed scary to see so many kids and adults sick now in KL, and especially to hear the death tolls rising for H1N1.

    shasha,
with the drip on he does look better, with only occasional run to the toilet.

oh dear, kesiannya Imran! but once kids start to attend school, it would be some time before they improve their immunity against all the viruses around them there!

    u take care too!

    ziah,
he’s so much better thanks! should be paranoid pun actually… it’s so much better to be paranoid than to be ignorant you know, especially at times like this!

    take care!

good call getting imtiyaz back to the hospital – better err on the side of caution as kids are more prone to dehydration when having diarrhea since it’s hard to convince them to take liquids when food/drink in = vomit / other unmentionables out..

with the drip in, at least there’s some assistance in assuring he stays hydrated.. and you have the peace of mind that professional help is just a buzz away

now kakak’s school has started asking the students to wear masks to school, just got kakak her supplies @ the pharmacy.. am considering buying the whole box since these things are not reusable. 50pcs for rm345
