City Boy?

"Babah, why this swimming pool got lotssss of stones?"

We managed to sneak in a picnic at a river in Raub, Pahang – thanks to my sister, whose department organized a ‘makan buah’ session there. The water was extremely refreshing and the area is surprisingly clean and comfy despite its ‘public’ status. The scenery was of course, breathtaking, and the sound of the water alone was serene enough to auto switch anybody into relax mode.

Imtiyaz, who was not so fond of the modern swimming pool (needs some coaxing to get him in, even then he’ll become too careful for a child his age), immediately jumped in and together with his cousins, were the first to get in and the last to come out.

When it’s time to go home,

Awwwww! But we’re having fun!

The promise? We’ll find a nearer river to have fun soon! 😉

Enjoy the photos!

One 'gambar syok sendiri' for the record! 😉

    Cantiknyaaaa the place!
    Ok.. couple of questions:
    1. How far is it from KL? Specifically, how long is the drive, say from the Gombak Tol?
    2. Ramai orang tak?

Eh, seiras lah your face and Mr Hubs! I’ve never noticed that, until now! 🙂

    I’m loving the slide!
The headgear? Hahahah… Ada function ke tu? hehe

it’s about 2.5 hour drive from kl, and from what they say, Saturday not that many people, Sunday ramai!

    seiras? hmmmm…. 😛

The slide is a bit dangerous coz it ends with a natural stone… the kids all complain sakit bontot!

The headgear is actually handle for the sandplay bucket! When it’s time to go home, I can’t find it anywhere!

got an invite to head over k lipis pahang this weekend for a makan buah session tu.. am contemplating whether to go or not. kena tanya supir – esp. since the invite came from a client – so decline pun salah, accept pun errr.. pening kepala?

but the river looks damn inviting. no wonder imtiyaz didn’t hesitate to jump into it. definitely a city boy to have come up with that comment at the start of your post !!

    Ms B,
Don’t get too depressed, dear. I love watching the rain especially if it’s like in London. Here it’s always paired with thunder and lightning 😛 Always berangan I have a conservatory to enjoy the rain, instead of the sun! Hehe.

it’s really very nice, but kuala lipis is further up from raub if i’m not mistaken, so if it’s a day trip could be tiring for you and the kids.

but if you don’t have any other plans, and could take it slow and easy without the rush, why not? 😉
