Irky-Wirky Me; Part II

I’ve always thought wedding receptions are to announce the marriage of a couple, also to share the happiness with family and friends. It is also one way of sadaqah from the couple’s family.

Little did I know it is now more of a medium to :

  • show off
  • spend beyond means
  • hope for more cash in return (from guests)

Sad, but true.

i hear you! i hear you!

i know of a couple who got a respectable reception as opposed to an OTT one and saved the cash to build their life for the future. Aint it a better idea?🙂
