The Disease

When I was so much younger, the word *B.A.B.I* was strictly forbidden from being mentioned (more of swearing actually!) by my then, young mouth.

But now, the very same word is mentioned thousands of time even on national TV!

A good read —> http://al-qayyim.net/web/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=815&Itemid=65

p.s. Let’s pray hard we’d all be well protected from this deadly disease!

… which we still haven’t found!

Well, technically, we did find one which we liked so much in terms of design and layout, also the location is pretty convenient, though to some person it may seem a bit far. For us, convenience means not much traffic jams, not much traffic lights along the way to delay travel time, takes maximum 20 minutes to reach office no matter what time we leave the house (which makes it also 20 mins to send Imtiyaz to school & also mum’s place), to have easy access to public facilities especially the lrt (because Mr. Hubs prefers to take the lrt to work) and most importantly, the price is within our budget.

But the house we wanted is already sold out, so we have to wait for the next phase to be launched (or for the current house to be ready to see if anybody’s selling them off). At the same time, we are praying hard the new phase won’t be out of our budget range! I do want somewhere close, like a mere 5 minutes to work, and I am still keeping my options open, but the houses close to where I’m working, and also close to mum’s is just wayyyy too expensive for us!

When we bought our current house, we didn’t have much to think about because we were still staying at mum’s then. And yes, both me and hubs were still unsure where we would settle, and where we would be working, etc. We just thought we should lock some of our money into a property, or it would be used up for god-knows-what anyway!

So there. I’ve had my share of apartment-living, which is not easy especially with a toddler in tow. And the traffic jam just to get out of the area is horrible, which made us get up at 5am, and leave the house by 6.15am every single day now! I got Imtiyaz ready at mum’s (we can reach her place in just about 30 mins if as early as that), send him to school and would be in the office by 9-930am (depending on Imtiyaz’s pace to take his bath and finish up his breakfast) – which is actually so much better than leaving the house at 7-730, and still reaching office at 9! And after work, we’d have dinner at mum’s first and would only return home after Maghrib – again, to avoid the traffic jam!

That is why I want a place where I can return home directly after work without worrying much about the traffic jam, one where I can leave home at anytime in the morning, again – without having to worry too much about the jam. And with all the saved time, I would not have to wait only for the weekends to be able to get some non-work related things done – like the house chores!

So. After what we went through all these while, TIME is definitely priority! 🙂

A great place to go if you are looking for somewhere not too far from KL. We had a great time, and I especially loved the Tumasek Beach which feels a little bit private than the Riau Beach. The pool area is also fun, with some shaded area if you just want to relax in the water for a bit.

I knew my investment on a Burqini some time ago won’t be wasted, as I can now switch from the pool, to the beach, and walk back to the room at ease, without having to change every time! Best part is of course, this lifeguard on Bondi Beach also wears the same! *grins* Mine is not directly from the website though, but of the exact same design from Arena, which can easily be found at our local stores. *Just a tip for you ladies who are looking for a fully-covered swimsuit*

All in all, a great vacation and I am definitely wanting more! 🙂

Short Getaway

Just a short drive away from town, I’m looking forward to a few days of relaxation by the beach. Hopefully I’ll come back in a better state than I am now. 🙂

Adam & Fahd

I remember this boy as one who started to speak very very early – fluent too. And he’s still a smart-mouth until today.

Very much advanced for his age, I can talk to him like an adult. But I still get to kiss him, of course! (which I think he’s starting to avoid already… hehehe…)

He’s also well-known for his temper, for his ‘hangin satu badan’ moments, and his ever-popular public display of ‘moments’ with his Mama – which can be funny when you are on the observer side, you know! For his Mama too, I’m sure – afterwards, of course! 😉

He’s fun to be with, someone (ehem!) kewl for Imtiyaz to look up to, and he’s my favourite nephew still! (Fahd too, of course…)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Adam Hakeemi… we love you!

Are we safe?

I shuddered, reading the news on the bus accident which killed 6 people this morning. And last week, I read this news here.

Yes, ajal dan maut di tangan tuhan, but that does not mean there’s no need of some enforcement to ensure the safety of road users. If we keep on with our hangat-hangat tahi ayam attitude, like only being strict after a fatal accident, and then continue with the usual “tunggu accident lagi baru strict balik-lah” attitude, I just don’t see the point.

After this, maybe for a month or two, we’ll see them making sure all buses are up to the standards & all bus drivers are those without traffic summons only, of course. Just because.

From this rakyat biasa yang tak ada kuasa, only Takziah & prayers for all victims and families of the victims.
