*a short update*
I forgot to mention I had my first taste of Putrefied Shark or Hakarl they call it, at the Viking restaurant. It is actually raw, eaten after it is buried for about 2-3 months in winter, or 6-7 weeks in summer, to release ammonia, heavy metals, and in some cases, cyanic acids in them. I can’t believe I actually tried it! Tasted just like our very own ikan masin actually, but because I am never a fan of ikan masin, I can’t stand the Hakarl as well, obviously.🙂
