As much as I am looking forward to the trip tomorrow, I feel bad having to leave my boys behind. But admittedly, it is one way to escape from my normal routine, minus the guilt! And admittedly again, it would be good for myself too, to at least ‘forget’ about all the housework (and office work) once in a while.
I am looking forward to a dip at the hot springs, also at the Blue Lagoon for its famous geothermal seawater bath. Who knows, it might be of benefit for my coccyx pain! 🙂
Ouh, if the weather permits, there’ll be a Northern Light hunt too!
We would also be treated to a Viking dinner on the day of arrival, a lobster dinner, and also dinner at Restaurant Perlan – one of the most exquisite restaurants in Iceland with highly unusual architecture. The “Pearl” rests on six huge storage tanks, each able to hold 4 million liters of geothermal hot water.
It’s a wonder the country’s called Iceland, but all that is mentioned has the word ‘hot’ in it!
Also, I am looking forward to the extended trip (only 6 of us) to Copenhagen for 2 nights!
That’s a lot to look forward to in a week eh? Hihihi…
