Light-hearted

Today, the chicken sandwich I had during the lunch date which I hoped to be light (due to having late breakfast) turned out to be not light at all.
As to how I am feeling at the mo.
Heavy, bloated, FAT. The opposite of lightness. And this low-waist jeans is not doing it any good either. The term muffin top actually had me in mind, I’m sure.
Oh-well, at least the weekend is here with an attempt to introduce the boy and his cousins to a Malaysian cartoon tomorrow.
And the 3 extra-full baskets of laundry, of course. Hehehe.
Have a nice weekend, all!

Bandung in a Nutshell

Horseback riding at Mt. Tangkuban Perahu which the kids enjoyed so much

Yummy food!

Unique presentation

This was mine - ayam goreng bumbu bali is the name?!

Don't remember the name

Forgive my memory...

The waiters must be really fit to carry food all the way up to all the huts!
I’ll let the photos do the talking!
A superb vacation – will definitely go there again! We had a great supir (driver) the whole time we were there to bring us around, stayed at a really nice 2-bedroom apartment, experienced wonderful local food at equally gorgeous restaurants, the kids had fun horseback riding and strawberry picking… and yes, the shopping was marvellous! I love their local products (simple, yet elegant long-sleeved tops and knee-length dresses made of lovely stretchable cotton material), the factory outlets filled with known brands, and of course, the first class service from the sales person themselves!
I also came up with something whilst I was there, seeing the beggars on the road, with torn clothes. Instead of going with an extra empty bag (I purposely brought only 1 change of clothes), I plan to bring some of my unworn, still-good-condition clothes and just hand over to the supir to distribute them to whoever he wants!
A simple gesture that could mean so much to them, don’t you think?

Another end to a week…
Another Friday, and I don’t feel well at all, just so suddenly… a little feverish, the throat starts to feel weird, etcetera…
I am looking forward to this not-so-long weekend. To have my chiropractor session (because my coccyx area is painful after the long travel), and to just spend time with the boys. The last weekend has been busy, but we sure did enjoy ourselves, didn’t we girls?
At this age, and with active growing up child(ren), nothing beats play-dates, where the mom (and dad) can just sit back and watch the kids play. Next, let’s bring the kids to TTDI Park ok?

All the kids must get a chance to blow the candles...

They were there...

A hairy dolphin to ride on...

Adam obviously had fun...

Adib just waiting for the right time to shoot the main target - Uncle Tajul

Happy 5th birthday Julia... hope you had fun!

The kids posing for another camera...

The 'hot' dads...

Lifeguard on duty?
I am glad we managed to celebrate the 3 birthday peeps (+1 who was there on and off) on that very day too. Jq had an early celebration, Imtiyaz is done with his 3rd series of celebration (at last!), Dydd, who is a little late on joining the 30s club (and the one who received the smallest cake), and my sis, whose birthday is on the day itself but only managed to make an on and off appearance.
Hope all of you will have a wonderful life ahead of you, and will be in the very best of health always!
We also managed to squeeze in time to visit beautiful Baby Rania just the day before.
So. This week is almost over.
Next week, I’ll be in Jakarta. I am sooo gonna miss the boys! *sob*
Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Adha!

A week’s worth
… of updates!!
Let me see…
Last weekend was full of food, and good food too! 2 weddings and a potluck at mummy-o’s place. As usual, nothing beats good company and good food!
Selamat Pengantin Baru to Fuzz & Zamel!
Then there’s the training all week… with a colleague flown all the way from Bergen.
There was also the dinner with colleagues last night (yumms!), followed by bowling, which I had to skip as Hubs and Imtiyaz came along with me, and decided to spend time at the Pets World while waiting. Imtiyaz insisted to see animus (animals) specifically kangayoo. Lucky he didn’t create a scene when he couldn’t find any. (obviously!)
And today, is dear hubs 30th birthday! Another nice dinner tonight, just the 3 of us… and inviting some families over tomorrow for tea!
Sunday, I’ll just laze around maybe, or go to a nearby park for an early morning picnic perhaps! The idea of having nasi lemak by the stream is just lovely don’t you think? (Must also remember to jog/swim off all the fats of course!)
Maybe later I’ll blog about a new device I received from the company yesterday. Supposed to promote good health.
Have a good weekend y’all!

Mom’s Birthday Dinner
8th May, Al-Diafah Restaurant, Sri Petaling
We’re always lucky mom’s birthday is almost always coincide with Mother’s Day. So it’s a double celebration everytime!
Food was superb. I only ordered the hummus with bread, but that’s because I knew I would be able to get a taste of everything from the rest. Haha.
Nahhh, I was feeling kinda full in the beginning, but the sight of the mendy rice and the kebabs were too hard to resist. Also the caramel pudding and vegetable samosas. And the drinks - great selection! Mom even commented the mango juice tasted just like those in Makkah, Cairo and the likes.
Am not good at doing reviews, but I am one who always find restaurants/food recommended by some, being just normal. But this one is definitely worth it!

Arabic Tea (I think!)

My ice lemon tea got commented “apa datang sini minum ice lemon tea?” But it’s good anyway!
The kids experimenting the complimentary gifts
The Hummus
You wouldn’t believe how many pieces of chicken were hidden under all those mendy rice!
Remember how the hub loves ‘burjer’? This was an alternative to it that night.
