Reality Bites
As much as I don’t want to believe, I decided to give it a try – after I realized the skin of my feet gave in too much to their bites.
Yes, shoe bites.
You know the old superstition I’m sure. Bite the shoes before they bite you!
I’ve never been a believer, though I know a lot of people swears by it.
Last week, I thought my hunt for lower heels was a success when I got myself 2 pairs of peep toes in gold and black. Wore the black one straightaway (without biting!) and yes, it bit me. Just after a few minutes!
So you guessed it! Hate to see things purchased left unworn, I bit both of them next! (With tissues of course! You never know whose feet tried on those before me)
…and still not wanting to believe, I’d still say it’s pure coincidence, but yes, both shoes have stopped biting you know!

The Home
After many weeks of wanting to, but to no avail, I finally managed to get some house plants to make the house greener, and cozier.
And after much effort to make the house a home, this morning, hubs said to me,
We need to get a landed house laa… susah nak basuh kereta…
Alahaiiii… basuh kereta can be an issue to guys eh? Maybe it’s equivalent to retail therapy for us ladies.

HUGE problem
Yesterday I opened up Imtiyaz’s communication book and called out to hubs,
We have a problem!
He came over, ala2 panic…
Imtiyaz ada school’s photoshoot on Monday. Read this line.
And I showed him the part where all the children are required to come to school on Monday wearing their SCHOOL UNIFORM! (… shoes and socks, and combed hair also… alahaiiiii…. don’t they know combed hair a few minutes before, could mean uncombed hair just a few minutes later?)
I have to tell you, that, after almost 8 months, he still refuses to wear his school uniform!
I hope the teachers and staffs won’t think of me as a mom who can’t follow orders when he goes to school on Monday not in uniform… (most probably in his Spiderman slippers too!)
What else is new pun? (I’ll put the stuffs in the bag la of course…)
Don’t suggest me to pujuk2 him or what-not, coz it just won’t work… this boy knows what he wants even in sleepy mode… yes, THAT tough!
p.s. Maybe I should propose to the school’s admin – for next year, please design new uniform for children with taste… *grins*

The Device
For those of you curious to know what my colleagues and I received last week…

Apparently there will be a competition among branches worldwide, or so I’ve heard. No proper briefing yet, but they’ve had it in the previous years, and Malaysia office… naturally, lost!
Come on… in a culture where there’s even a shuttle service provided from the parking lot to the building, which is a mere 10-15 minutes walk (depending on how long your legs are, and how early you arrive to get the nearest parking spot), and a culture where cycling to work is a norm, and a walk up the mountains is an after-office-hour bliss in the summer,
Do you think we stand a chance? *grins*
